With a special edition of Sightless Seeing #5: Black Box Sarah van Lamsweerde and Leroy de Böck invited the audience into the Theater Instituut Nederland (TIN) – Allard Pierson Collections. As an addition to the collection, Leroy and Sarah proposed a series of dance moves by the late Jan Hessels (1962 -1993) along with Jan’s scent as it was captured in the scented booklet Sightless Seeing #5: Jan Hessels, 1989 (2020). 

During the symposium session ‘Archief van de Vluchtigheid’ – on 28th of February 2025, at the Universiteitstheater
– it was announced that the booklet shall soon be included in the archive of the Allard Pierson Collections!

Mister Vogue Selection with Silhouette Collection Nr.24/0 & Nr.11, Timber and Burnt Milk Oil

Darkly beautiful, these sculptural “perfume bottles” made of black soap can be used both as room fragrance – a group of three on a shelf would strike a dramatically sybaritic note – or, if you can bear to wash them away, simply as soap. The creation of Liza Witte, an Amsterdam-based product designer and self-described alchemist, there are five bottle shapes, each with a different blend of essential oils, from Christmassy orange blossom and clove to black rose, cardamom and eucalyptus.
